Both the mules like Matt Cutts. Yes, he seems too happy, but one imagines he has a decent bit of Google stock. Yes, he’s a charming sort, in that polo shirt + Apple computer sort of way.
But he also seems to believe Google is not evil. Truly believe.
Chrome, it has been generally affirmed, is not evil. Yet.
But aside from becoming an instant competitor to IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and other browsers that, in no particular order, were already pretty decent, what does Chrome do?
Not plug-ins.
Oh, oh, the mule knows! It establishes Google’s entire “free” set of tools and such on what will become not just an ad platform, but a virtual OS!
Could have at least ported it to Linux (or even Mac’s Leotard) first… but then, that would not have been a thumb in Microsoft’s eye, would it?
Evil versus evil. Great in movies, always disappointing in the real world of politics and public companies.
