Steve Jobs – Not Quite Dead Yet

by The Mules on October 4, 2008

The SEC is going to investigate a weakly-verified news report that incorrectly made claims that Apple’s iconic leader had popped a coronary under his trademark turtleneck; share prices plunged briefly.

Why, that sounds just like the accidentally re-released bankruptcy notice that crushed a certain airline’s stock all of a couple weeks ago.

Note to CNN, the Associated Press, and other news media outlets – any idiot with a blog, a computer, and four hooves can make bad news. Stop sharing it already!

The mules can only hope this missive is black-listed due to being (correctly) identified as an unofficial, if not entirely ridiculous, amateurish and oversight-free “news” source.

Also, headlines, what the hell is the matter with headlines? The Onion does a better job than this one, currently on Google’s front page news aggregator, from no less than the San Francisco Chronicle… “Remnants of Fossett’s Plane May Provide Clues” – no way!

Are they saying that, when the wreckage of a single-passenger airplane is discovered crashed into a mountainside, information can be gleaned from said debris, even a year later?

Eureka!

Stubborn or not, even mules can learn something new every day!
